"Stubbin"
$175.00

These cute little loaves with stumpy legs are the perfect Friend to match just about any pet! Though not as realistic as our full sized custom pet portraits, you can still get a 4-legged resemblance of your pet in miniature felted form. Tiny, stump legs, cute wide set eyes, simplified markings and that pudgey body will all kill you with cuteness. Be prepared: order the coffin.

Stubbins are perfect for keeping you company at the office, taken on traveling adventures or giving as a seriously rad gift. Not just for Corgis: I can felt a shorty/stumped down version of any breed (even cats!).

*Please note Stubbins are only available in the standard standing pose. The custom form asking about pose is for Original Fiber Friends only :)

The Original Fiber Friend
from $350.00

One of a kind, life-like yet whimsical, sculpture in wool: Fiber Friends are all of these things and as unique as your pet! This listing is for our most realistic felt sculpture which will fit ALL of your pet’s tiny details (and all of their legs). Most measure about 5-6ish inches from nose to rump (if standing). Displaying under a glass cloche is recommended, especially for very fluffy friends. For greatest longevity: do NOT allow your pets or small children to ‘play’ with your new Friend.

Like all my custom work, I will require excellent photographs of your pet in order to most accurately match their markings. Tips on preparing and sending your photos can be found at my FAQ page.

Favorite Toy
$25.00

Whether it’s lamb-chop, hedgie, purple octopus or a slab of bacon: if your pet loves it, their Fiber Friend will too. Felting your pet’s favorite toys are some of my favorite projects. No stuffy is too ridiculous for me to miniaturize!

12 Eggs Make One Dozen
$25.00

My new children's book is perfect for little skin-puppies who are just learning to count or read and is full of delicate illustrations of Pocket and all her friends around our farm. The rhyming text is simple and sweet, with lots of hungry critters hoping that YOU will figure out how to administer treats into the pages of a book. Each page includes a numeral and written number plus fun details to count as you read from 1 to 12. Corgi lovers of all ages will want to add this little board book to their collection!

Meet the artist

Hi, my name is Miranda! I am an artist, an animal lover and a homesteader living in rural western Oregon. Fiber Friends was born from a union of my illustration style, love for my best friend (a little corgi named Pocket) and my passion for sustainability and fiber arts. I craft each Friend with love and care, and the not-so-occasional bloodied fingertip. Hundreds of clients (over a thousand) have entrusted me to felt their pets since 2012. Meeting each smiling pup via emailed photos brings me great joy.

Whether you are celebrating your new marriage, welcoming your new baby or standing at the foot of the Rainbow Bridge, it is truly my honor and privilege to help you remember your best friend.

  • "Miranda is incredibly talented and a pleasure to work with! She created a memorial realistic Fiber Friend of my first corgi, Tilly, after she passed, as well as one of my current corgi, Margot. Both were crafted with exceptional attention to detail, even down to the tiniest freckle! Her instructions for sending photos of your pet are very thorough, and she will follow up if she needs more angles or information. We chatted regularly during each commission, and I felt like we were working together to create the perfect likeness of both my pups. It was a really great experience, and both Fiber Friends turned out perfectly. She even added details such as Tilly's iconic purple collar with a flower, and it was spot on! Thank you Miranda for everything you do!"

  • " My wife and I couldn't be happier with our Fiber Friend Stubbin'!!! After losing our 15 month old Frenchie to cancer in July, I wanted to get something special to remember Winston by and surprise my wife. I ran across Miranda's website and thought this would be the perfect way to memorialize him. Miranda was incredibly kind and generous in the time she spent emailing back and forth with me to ensure she got his look just right. The end result blew me away and most importantly, my wife absolutely loves her Fiber Friend Winston. We will be taking him with us on all of our travels and he currently resides on the headboard of our bed to watch over us while we sleep. Just an incredible experience that has put smiles on both our faces during a difficult time. We can't thank Miranda enough!"

  • "We have purchased SEVEN Fiber Friends and we absolutely love them all. We've given some as gifts, gotten memorials of those who have crossed the rainbow bridge, and monuments to our current pets. Someday I'd love to get a mobile, and will probably end up ordering more Stubbins - for gifts and myself! :) "

  • " I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful replica of my dear Regan. Regan was my heart dog and losing her to DM was beyond devastating. Everyday I see her smile because of the amazing job you did...you gave me back a little piece of my girl...I apologize this has taken so long to write...you are a amazing artist and healer of a broken heart."

  • I found Miranda and Pocket years ago online and showed my (then girlfriend) and we agreed if we had kids we HAD to get a mobile done. By the time we were having our first baby we had four pets, each with unique spots, stripes, patches, fur types, and personalities. Miranda captured them all! The mobile is beautiful, the process on our end was straightforward and collaborative, and we can’t believe how amazing the end result is.
