Written and illustrated by Miranda, Inspired by Pocket
My new children's book is perfect for little skin-puppies who are just learning to count or read and is full of delicate illustrations of Pocket and all her friends around our farm. The rhyming text is simple and sweet, with lots of hungry critters hoping that YOU will figure out how to administer treats into the pages of a book. Each page includes a numeral and written number plus fun details to count as you read from 1 to 12. Corgi lovers of all ages will want to add this little board book to their collection!
General sales open May 23rd!
The First Edition of my little book is selling fast and may sadly go out of print sooner than I had hoped. Someone please go back in time and tell me to get a larger quantity printed! As we do not have a time machine, we'll just have to deal with this printing being in 'limited stock.' If it sells out I may pursue a second printing depending on interest.
Shipping: Please choose 'media mail' when checking out. Some international orders may be subject to an additional shipping charge.
If you are interested in selling my book in your children's boutique or bookstore, please shoot me an email to discuss options! And if you are with a school or library and would like to host me for a meet and greet/ reading (in person or virtual), I am keen to discuss that as well!
A bit more about the inspiration for this book....
I used to volunteer at the local elementary school, reading to and with children of assorted ages. One of the things I noticed was that some children really enjoyed counting things they saw in the illustrations. This sparked an idea to write and illustrate a counting book featuring Pocket and all my other pets and wild animal friends! I'm passionate about literacy and hope this simple book will inspire a love of counting and reading in the newest generation. This book is also heavily inspired by one of my favorite childhood books: Tasha Tudor's "1 is One." I hope that my traditional media illustrations paired with Pocket's cuteness will bring a smile to your face when you read it.
And if you're curious about the other books I have illustrated (Long Ago), search Amazon for my maiden name "Miranda R Mueller" and you should find them.
Have you read (and counted) my book? I'd love to hear what you think! Please use the comment form below to leave an honest review. TYSM!
